AHLI FIKIH PENTING BERSAMA AHLI TASAWWUF
Abah Apud Al-Fudholi pernah menyampaikan dawuh (pesan) dari Syekh Zakaria yang termuat dalam kitab Jami' Al-Ushul Fi Auliya:
"Setiap Ahli Fikih yang tidak bergaul dan berkumpul dengan Ahli Tasawwuf, maka ibarat roti yang kering dan keras tanpa madu atau gula."
Perumpamaan ini mengandung makna yang sangat dalam. Ilmu fikih memberikan landasan hukum yang kokoh dan jelas, namun tanpa diimbangi dengan kebersihan hati melalui ilmu tasawwuf, maka orang tersebut akan "keras hati" dan kering dari kelembutan spiritual
Inti dari pertemuan kedua ilmu ini adalah untuk membersihkan berbagai kotoran maknawi yang menempel di dalam hati, sehingga kita jadi manusia yang di senangi tuhan

THE SCHOLAR OF JURISPRUDENCE NEEDS THE SCHOLAR OF SPIRITUALITY
Abah Apud Al-Fudholi once conveyed the words of Syekh Zakaria found in the book Jami' Al-Ushul Fi Auliya:
"Every scholar of Fiqh (Jurisprudence) who does not associate and mingle with scholars of Tasawwuf (Sufism/Spirituality) is like dry and hard bread, without any honey or sweetness."
This analogy contains a very deep meaning. The knowledge of Fiqh provides a strong and clear legal foundation. However, without being balanced with the purification of the heart through the knowledge of Tasawwuf, a person will become "hard-hearted" and lack spiritual softness.
The essence of combining these two sciences is to cleanse the heart from various spiritual stains and impurities, so that we may become people who are pleasing to God

كل فقيه لايجتمع بالصوفية فهو كالخبز الجاف بلا عدم
"Setiap Ahli Fikih yang tidak berkumpul dengan Ahli tasawuf maka dia seperti Roti yang kering tanpa ada gula"
"Every scholar of Fiqh who does not associate with scholars of Tasawwuf is like dry bread without sugar."
(Essentially, this gathering is meant to cleanse the heart from spiritual impurities.)
