Poin Penting

 

1. Ciri khas pembohong: Suka mengobral sumpah tanpa diminta untuk meyakinkan lawan bicara.

2. Larangan sering bersumpah: Bahkan bagi orang yang jujur dan menepati janji, terlalu sering bersumpah dianggap tidak baik (berdasarkan nasihat Imam al-Muhasibi dalam Risalah al-Mustarsyidin).

3. Kondisi pengecualian: Sumpah hanya dibolehkan dalam keadaan genting, seperti proses hukum di pengadilan atau situasi darurat.

DALIL

وَلَا تُكْثِرُ الْأَيْمَانَ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ صَادِقًا

 

“Dan janganlah sering bersumpah meskipun engkau benar.” (Imam al-Harits al-Muhasibi, Risalah al-Mustarsyidin, Dar el-Salam, halaman 136)

"And do not swear frequently even if you are truthful." (Imam al-Harith al-Muhasibi, Risalah al-Mustarsyidin, Dar el-Salam, p. 136)

علامة الكاذب جوده بيمينه من غير مستحلف له

 

“Alamat seorang pembohong adalah kegemarannya mengobral sumpah tanpa diminta.” (Imam al-Harits al-Muhasibi, Risalah al-Mustarsyidin, Dar el-Salam, halaman 136)

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الحَلِفُ حِنْثٌ أَوْ نَدَمٌ

 

“Dari Ibnu Umar RA, beliau berkata: Rasulullah SAW bersabda: ‘Sumpah itu adalah dosa atau penyesalan’.”

"From Ibn Umar RA, he said: The Messenger of Allah SAW said: ‘An oath is either a sin or regret’."
