ZIARAH KUBUR DI HARI RAYA
1. Kebiasaan di Indonesia
Banyak masyarakat Muslim Indonesia memiliki kebiasaan berziarah kubur sebelum atau pada Hari Raya Idul Fitri, dengan sebutan yang berbeda-beda di setiap daerah.
2. Status hukum dalam agama
Ziarah kubur di hari raya disunnahkan, bukan dilarang. Hal ini berdasarkan hadits yang menyatakan: (Dulu) Aku mencegah kalian berziarah, maka berziarah kuburlah kalian. Kegiatan ini meliputi mengucapkan salam kepada ahli kubur dan mendoakannya.
3. Hadits tentang waktu penentuan tiap tahun
Kanjeng Nabi Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam pernah berziarah ke kubur para syuhada pada permulaan tahun, lalu mengucapkan: "Salam semoga tercurahkan untuk kalian dengan apa yang telah kalian sabari, maka sebaik-baiknya tempat kesyuhadaan itu". Hal ini juga dilakukan oleh Sayyidina Abu Bakar, Umar, Utsman, dan Ali. Menurut redaksi Imam Al-Baihaqi, beliau melakukannya "di setiap tahun".
4. Tentang keabsahan hadits
Meskipun hadits mengenai ziarah tahunan tersebut dianggap dho'if (lemah), amalan ini tetap diperbolehkan untuk dilakukan

GRAVE VISITATION ON EID DAY
1. Custom in Indonesia

2. Religious Ruling
Visiting graves on Eid is recommended (sunnah), not prohibited. This is based on a hadith that states: "I once forbade you from visiting graves, so now visit them." The practice includes greeting those who have passed away and praying for them.
3. Hadith on Annual Timing
The Prophet Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam visited the graves of martyrs at the start of the year, and said: "Peace be upon you for your patience; truly, the abode of the Hereafter is good." This was also done by Sayyidina Abu Bakar, Umar, Uthman, and Ali. According to Imam al-Baihaqi’s version, the Prophet did this "every year."
4. Authenticity of the Hadith
Although the hadith regarding annual grave visitation is considered dha'if (weak in chain of transmission), the practice itself remains permissible to perform.
CONCLUSION
Visit graves, for if your purpose is to remind yourself that you too will die one day, this is a sunnah (to encourage you to be diligent in worship). However, it is impermissible to ask the deceased for intercession or blessings through them only Allah should be trusted and supplicated to

وكان النبى، (ﷺ)، يأتى قبور الشهداء عند رأس الحول، فيقول: (السلام عليكم بما صبرتم فنعم عقبى الدار) . وكان أبو بكر، وعمر، وعثمان يفعلون ذلك.
"Kanjeng nabi sholallahu 'alaihi wasallam pernah berkunjung kubur ahli syahid ketika permulaan tahun. Kemudian beliau berucap : Salam semoga tercurahkan untuk kalian (Ahli syahid) dengan apa yang telah kalian sabari, maka Sebaik-baik nya tempat kesyuhadaan itu". Dan sayyidina Abu bakar, sayyidina umar, sayyidina Utsman dan sayyidina Ali semuanya melakukan apa yang dilakukan oleh kanjeng nabi". Sedangkan Redaksi Imam Al-baihaqi
"Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam once visited the graves of the martyrs at the start of the year. He then said: 'Peace be upon you for what you have patiently endured; truly, the abode of the Hereafter is excellent.' Sayyidina Abu Bakar, Sayyidina Umar, Sayyidina Uthman, and Sayyidina Ali all followed what the Prophet did. As for the version by Imam al-Baihaqi..."
