1. Hukum dan Keutamaan Dasar
Shodaqoh sunnah (bukan zakat) hukumnya sunnah muakad (sangat dianjurkan). Ia memberikan keutamaan, salah satunya adalah perlindungan bagi yang memberikannya.
2. Waktu Utama untuk Berbagi
Shodaqoh yang diberikan di waktu-waktu utama mendapatkan keuntungan yang lebih besar. Waktu-waktu tersebut antara lain:
- Setiap hari Jum'at
- Bulan Ramadhan, terutama sepuluh hari akhir bulan (dikarenakan hadits dari Abu Daud dan kondisi yang membuat sebagian orang sulit bekerja di masa itu)
- Tanggal 10 Dzulhijjah (saat Idul Adha)
3. Aturan Penting
Waktu dan tempat yang utama memang membuat shodaqoh lebih utama, namun bukan berarti kita boleh menunda shodaqoh hanya untuk diberikan di waktu atau tempat tersebut. Jika sudah ada kesempatan untuk memberi shodaqoh, sebaiknya tidak ditunda.

THR FOR EID AL FITR
1. Basic Ruling and Merits
Voluntary charity (sadaqah sunnah, not zakat) is classified as a highly recommended sunnah (sunnah muakad). It brings numerous merits, one of which is protection for those who give it.
2. Optimal Times for Giving
Charity given during special times yields greater rewards. These times include:
- Every Friday
- The month of Ramadan, especially the last ten days (based on a hadith from Abu Daud and due to circumstances that may make it difficult for some people to earn income during this period)
- The 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah (during Eid al-Adha)
3. Important Rule
While special times and places make charity more prioritized, this does not mean we should postpone giving charity solely to wait for such times or places. If there is an opportunity to give charity, it is best not to delay it.

DALIL
(و) الأفضل كون تصدقه (في) سائر (الأزمنة الفاضلة، كالجمعة) ورمضان، لاسيما عشره الآخر؛ لخبر أبي داوود بذلك، وللعجز عن الكسب فيه.
ويليه عشر ذي الحجة
"Yang paling utama ialah bershodaqoh disetiap waktu yang utama, seperti hari Jum'at dan bula Ramadhan. Terlebih sepuluh hari akhir bulan Ramadhan karena hadits Abi daud dan ketidak mampuan bekerja diwaktu tersebut, kemudian tanggal 10 Dzulhijjah (Idul Adha)"
"The most prioritized (practice) is to give voluntary charity (sadaqah) during every special time, such as Fridays and the month of Ramadan. Especially the last ten days of Ramadan – due to a hadith from Abu Daud and because some people may face difficulties working during this period – followed by the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah (Eid al-Adha)"
والمراد: أنه إذا حصلت تلك الأزمنة والأمكنة .. تأكدت الصدقة فيها، لا أنه يسن التأخير لها إليها.
"Jika Telah datang waktu-waktu yang utama dan tempat-tempat yang mulia maka shodaqoh lebih utama didalamnya, tidak (muakkad) dengan mengakhirkan (menunda) shodaqoh diwaktu dan tempat demikian"
"If special times and noble places have arrived, then giving charity (sadaqah) is more prioritized in them – [however], it is not [required or highly recommended] to postpone charity just to give it at such times and places"
