1. Pegangan Utama dalam Ideologi
- Para ulama mengingatkan agar tetap berpegang teguh pada Salafunashsholih (generasi sahabat Nabi dan generasi setelahnya).
- Pesan Imam Al-Auza'i:"Berpegang teguhlah pada jejak orang-orang terdahulu, walaupun manusia menolaknya. Dan waspadalah terhadap pendapat-pendapat baru manusia, walaupun mereka menghiasi ucapannya."
2. Menyeimbangkan dengan Perkembangan Zaman
- Selain memegang prinsip lama, santri juga harus pandai menyesuaikan diri dengan perkembangan zaman.
- Pesan Gus Reza Lirboyo:"Ahli Fikih yang sejati ialah orang yang mampu menyatukan antara kebenaran syariat dan realita zaman."
(Artinya: Menggabungkan hukum agama dengan kondisi dan tradisi yang ada)

- Besides holding onto old principles, students of knowledge must also be wise in adapting to the development of the times.
- Message of Gus Reza Lirboyo:"A true jurist is one who is able to reconcile the truth of the Shari'ah with the reality of the times."
(Meaning: Combining religious law with existing conditions and traditions)
CONCLUSION
- New rulings refer to things such as kissing family members on the lips.
- However, new things that are merely adaptations, such as religious schools, are not considered new rulings. This is because spreading religious knowledge has been encouraged since ancient times

وقال الأوزاعى «عليك بآثار من سلف. وإن رفضك الناس، وإياك وآراء الرجال، وإن زخرفوا لك القول»
Imam Al-auza'i berkata : "berpegang teguhlah dengan Dawuh-dawuh orang yang terdahulu, walaupun manusia membantahnya. Dan takutlah terhadap pendapat-pendapat (baru) seseorang, Walaupun mereka menghiasi ucapannya padamu"
Imam Al-Auza'i said:
"Hold firmly to the teachings of the predecessors, even if people reject them. And beware of the personal opinions of men, even if they beautify their words for you"
الفقيه الحقيقي من يزوج بين الحق والواقع
"Ahli Fikih Yang sejati ialah orang yang mengkaloborasikan antara syari'at dan tradisi (perkembangan zaman)"
