Syekh Nawawi Al Bantani dalam kitab Nasho'ihul Ibad mengutip sebuah doa singkat dari Syekh Ali Al Maghribi. Doa ini dibaca setelah belajar, mutolaah, atau mengaji, agar ilmu yang didapat tidak mudah lupa dan mudah diingat kembali saat dibutuhkan.
Doanya:
اللهم اني استودعتك ما قرأته فاردده إلي عند حاجتي إليه
Allahumma inni istauda'tuka ma qoro'tuhu fardudhu ilayya 'inda hajati ilaihi.
Artinya:
"Ya Allah, sesungguhnya aku titipkan kepada-Mu apa yang telah aku baca, maka kembalikanlah ia kepadaku di saat aku membutuhkannya."

PRACTICE FROM SHEIKH ALI AL-MAGHRIBI
Sheikh Nawawi Al Bantani, in the book Nasho'ihul Ibad, cited a short supplication from Sheikh Ali Al Maghribi. This prayer is recited after studying, reading, or reciting the Quran, so that the knowledge gained is not easily forgotten and can be recalled whenever needed.
The Prayer:
اللهم اني استودعتك ما قرأته فاردده إلي عند حاجتي إليه
Allahumma inni istauda'tuka ma qoro'tuhu fardudhu ilayya 'inda hajati ilaihi.
Meaning:
"O Allah, indeed I entrust to You what I have read, so return it to me whenever I need it."
