ISTIQAMAH VS SABAR

Belajar Berjuang

 

Berjuang di jalan Allah, menyebarkan agama, dan menuntut ilmu bukanlah hal yang mudah. Namun, setiap ujian dan beban yang datang tidak akan membawa kerusakan, justru semakin berat ujiannya, semakin tinggi pula derajat dan pahalanya.

 

Dalil dan Penjelasan Ulama

 

1. Al-Hafizh Ibn Hajar rahimahullah:

Orang yang bersungguh-sungguh di jalan Allah, tidak akan celaka atau binasa oleh fitnah.

2. Imam Asy-Syafi'i rahimahullah:- Istiqomah (konsisten/teguh pendirian) adalah derajat para Nabi.

- Istiqomah tidak akan tercapai kecuali setelah melewati ujian.

- Jika diuji lalu bersabar, maka akan tercapai lah Istiqomah

Learning to Strive

 

Striving in the way of Allah, spreading His religion, and seeking knowledge is not an easy task. However, every test and burden that comes will not bring harm. In fact, the heavier the trial, the higher one's status and reward will be.

 

Evidence and Explanations from Scholars

 

1. Al-Hafizh Ibn Hajar rahimahullah:

"One who is sincere in the path of Allah will not be destroyed by trials and tribulations."

2. Imam Asy-Shafi'i rahimahullah:- Istiqomah (consistency/steadfastness) is the rank of the Prophets.

- Istiqomah cannot be achieved except after going through tests.

- When tested and one remains patient, then Istiqomah will be attained

DALIL

صاحب الصدق مع الله ، لا تضره الفتن. 

"Orang yang bersungguh-sungguh dijalan Allah, tidak akan celaka karena fitnah

One who is sincere in the path of Allah will not be harmed by trials

وقال للشافعي رحمه الله تعالى يومًا: أيما أفضل الصبر، أو المحنة، أو التمكين؛ فقال الشَّافِعِي : التمكين درجة الأنبياء، ولا يكون التمكين إلا بعد المحنة، فإذا امتحن صبر، وإذا صبر مُكِّن.

Ada seseorang laki-laki yang sholih dan wara' bernama Syekh Abd Qohir bin Abd Aziz bertanya kepada imam As-syaf'i di suatu hari "lebih utama sabar, Ujian atau istiqomah kah?". Kemudian Imam Asy-Syafi'i menjawab : "Istiqomah Adalah derajat Para nabi, Tidak akan wujud Istiqomah terkecuali sesudah diuji. Ketika seseorang diuji maka ia sabar, Dan jika ia sabar maka ia istiqomah"

One day, a pious and God-fearing man named Sheikh Abd al-Qahir bin Abd al-Aziz asked Imam al-Shafi'i: "Which is better: Patience, Trials, or Istiqomah?" Imam al-Shafi'i replied: 'Istiqomah is the rank of the Prophets. Istiqomah cannot be achieved except after being tested. When one is tested and remains patient, then one attains Istiqomah"
