PUJIAN ULAMA PADA KITAB IHYA ULUMIDDIN

 

Kitab Ihya Ulumiddin karya Imam Al-Ghazali merupakan salah satu mahakarya terbesar dalam sejarah Islam. Para ulama terdahulu memberikan pujian yang sangat tinggi terhadap kitab ini. Berikut adalah beberapa di antaranya:

 

 

 

1. Menurut Imam Ibnu Katsir

 

(Kitab Al-Bidayah Wan Nihayah 12/177)

 

Imam Al-Ghazali pernah bermukim di Syam (Damaskus dan Baitul Maqdis), dan di sanalah beliau menyusun kitab agung ini.

 

"Ia adalah kitab yang sangat ajaib. Memuat berbagai ilmu syari'at yang dicampur dengan hal-hal yang lembut dari tasawwuf dan amalan hati."

 

 

 

2. Menurut Imam Ibnu Hajar Al-Haitami

 

(Kitab Fatawi Al-Haditsiyyah hal. 56)

 

"Berpeganglah dan bacalah kitab Ihya karya Imam Al-Ghazali, serta kitab-kitab sejenisnya. Karena kitab ini sangat bermanfaat, menjelaskan keadaan kaum yang sholeh, membentuk akhlak yang mulia, mendorong semangat ibadah terutama sholat berjamaah, dan menjauhkan diri dari hal-hal yang hina."

 

 

 

3. Menurut Syaikh Zainuddin Al-Malibari

 

(Kitab Hidayah Al-Adzkiya hal. 133)

 

"Wahai saudaraku, bacalah kitab Ihya Al-Ghazali, niscaya engkau akan mendapatkan penawar dari segala penyakit hati yang sulit disembuhkan."

 

 

 

4. Menurut Sayyid Abi Bakr Satta

 

(Kitab Kifayah Al-Atqiyah hal. 133)

 

Seorang ahli makrifat berkata:

 

"Demi Allah, seandainya Allah membangkitkan orang-orang yang sudah meninggal, niscaya mereka akan berwasiat agar mempelajari isi kandungan yang ada di dalam kitab Ihya."

 

 

 

5. Menurut Habib Zain bin Smith

 

(Kitab Manhaj Assawi hal. 256)

 

"Sesungguhnya barangsiapa yang membaca dan mempelajari kitab Ihya, maka ia termasuk golongan orang-orang yang mendapatkan hidayah (petunjuk)"

SCHOLARS' PRAISE FOR THE BOOK "IHYA ULUMIDDIN"

 

The book Ihya Ulumiddin by Imam Al-Ghazali is considered one of the greatest masterpieces in Islamic history. The great scholars of the past have given it the highest praise. Here are some of their words:

 

 

 

1. According to Imam Ibn Kathir

 

(From the book Al-Bidayah Wan Nihayah 12/177)

 

Imam Al-Ghazali once resided in the Levant (Damascus and Jerusalem), and it was there that he compiled this great book.

 

"It is indeed an amazing book. It contains vast knowledge of the Shari'ah, blended with beautiful and gentle matters of Sufism and the practices of the heart."

 

 

 

2. According to Imam Ibn Hajar Al-Haitami

 

(From the book Fatawi Al-Haditsiyyah pg. 56)

 

"Hold fast and read the Ihya of Imam Al-Ghazali, along with similar books. Indeed, this book is immensely beneficial; it explains the states of the righteous people, shapes noble character, encourages enthusiasm in worship—especially congregational prayer—and keeps one away from vile and lowly matters."

 

 

 

3. According to Sheikh Zainuddin Al-Malibari

 

(From the book Hidayah Al-Adzkiya pg. 133)

 

"O my brother, read the Ihya of Al-Ghazali, and you will surely find a cure for every incurable disease of the heart."

 

 

 

4. According to Sayyid Abi Bakr Satta

 

(From the book Kifayah Al-Atqiyah pg. 133)

 

A master of spiritual knowledge said:

 

"By Allah, if Allah were to raise the dead back to life, they would surely advise the living to study the contents found within the book Ihya."

 

 

 

5. According to Habib Zain bin Smith

 

(From the book Manhaj Assawi pg. 256)

 

"Verily, whoever reads and studies the book Ihya, he is indeed among those who are guided to the right path."

DALIL

ورحل إلى الشام فأقام بها بدمشق وبيت المقدس مدة، وصنف في هذه المدة كتابه إحياء علوم الدين، 

Imam Al-Ghazali Berkelana ke Tanah Syam, lalu Beliau Mukim disana di daerah damaskus dan Baitul Maqdis beberapa waktu, Dan waktu itu beliau Menyusun kitabnya yang bernama Ihya Ulumiddin

Imam Al-Ghazali journeyed to the land of Ash-Sham (the Levant), where he resided in Damascus and Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) for a period of time. It was during that time that he compiled his book entitled Ihya Ulumiddin

وهو كتاب عجيب، يشتمل على علوم كثيرة من الشرعيات، وممزوج بأشياء لطيفة من التصوف وأعمال القلوب،

"Kitab Ihya ialah Kitab Ajaib yang memuat banyak ilmu-ilmu syari'at dan mencampur dengan sesuatu yang lembut dari tasawwuf dan Amaliyah Hati"

The book Ihya is indeed an amazing book. It contains vast knowledge of the Shari'ah, blended with gentle and beautiful matters of Sufism and the practices of the heart

وَعَلَيْك إِن أردْت أَن يظْهر لَك الْحق وَأَنَّك تتحلى بِالصّدقِ بمطالعة إحْيَاء الْغَزالِيّ رَحمَه الله تَعَالَى، ورسالة الإِمَام الْعَارِف الْقشيرِي، وعوارف المعارف للسهروردي، والقوت لأبي طَالب الْمَكِّيّ، فَإِن هَذِه هِيَ الْكتب النافعة المبينة لأحوال الصَّادِقين، وتلبيسات المبطلين، والحاملة على معالي الْأَخْلَاق وإيثار الْفقر والإملاق وإدمان الطَّاعَات، وملازمة الْعِبَادَات سِيمَا الْجَمَاعَات، والإعراض عَن سفاسف أَقوام غلب عَلَيْهِم الشَّيْطَان.

"Berpegang teguhlah, Jika kamu menghendaki jelasnya kebenaran dan benar-benar dirimu ingin berhias dengan kejujuran dengan Kitab Ihya imam Al-Ghazali Rahimahullah Ta'ala, Risalah Al-imam Al-'Arif Al-Qusyairi, Kitab awarif Al-ma'arif milik Imam Assahrowardi, Kitab Al-Qut Al-Qulub imam Abi Thalib Al-makki. Karena kitab-kitab ini adalah Kitab yang bermanfaat yang menjelaskan sifat Kaum shidiqin dan Talbisnya orang-orang yang merusak, mendorong pada akhlak yang luhur, mendahulukan Fakir dan miskin, semangat ta'at, Istiqomah ibadah lebih-lebih sholat jam'ah dan berpaling dari hinanya kaum yang telah dikuasai oleh syaiton"

"Hold fast to these books. If you desire the truth to become clear to you and you truly wish to adorn yourself with sincerity, then study the Ihya of Imam Al-Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on him, the Risalah of Imam Al-Qushayri, the book Awarif Al-Ma'arif by Imam Al-Suhrawardi, and the book Qut Al-Qulub by Imam Abu Talib Al-Makki.

 

For these books are immensely beneficial. They explain the characteristics of the righteous (shiddiqin) and the deceptions of those who deviate. They encourage noble character, prioritizing the poor and needy, enthusiasm in obedience, and consistency in worship especially congregational prayer. And they guide one to turn away from the vile ways of those whose hearts have been overpowered by Satan"

طالع أخي إحيا غزاليّ تنل # فيه الشفا من كل داء أعضلا

"Wahai saudaraku, Mengajilah Kitab Ihya imam Al-gazali maka engkau akan memperoleh obat dari setiap penyakit yang menipu (penyakit hati yang susah di obati)"

"O my brother, study the book Ihya of Imam Al-Ghazali, and you will surely find a cure for every deceiving disease (the diseases of the heart that are difficult to treat)"

قال بعض العارفين واللّه لو بعث اللّه الأموات لما أوصوا الإحياء الإ بما في الإحياء

Sebagian Ahli Makrifat berkata : "Demi Alloh, Seandainya Alloh membangkitkan orang-orang yang mati Maka Mereka akan berwasiat kepada orang yang masih hidup tentang isi kandungan dalam kitab Ihya"

أن من طالع الإحياء كان من المهتدين . انتهى. 

"Sesungguhnya orang yang muthola'ah Kitab Ihya ia akan menjadi orang yang mendapatkan hidayah"

"Verily, the one who reads and studies the book Ihya will indeed be among those who are guided"
