MEMBACA SHALAWAT TIDAK KHUSYU'
Banyak di antara kita yang mungkin pernah merasa ragu. Saat melafalkan shalawat, pikiran sering kali melayang entah ke mana, atau hati terasa belum sepenuhnya hadir dan khusyu'. Lalu timbul pertanyaan, apakah shalawat yang dibaca dengan kondisi seperti itu tetap dicatat dan diterima oleh Allah SWT? Apakah pahalanya tetap mengalir meski pikiran kita sedang lalai?
Pertanyaan yang sangat berharga ini ternyata juga pernah diajukan langsung oleh para sahabat radhiyallahu ‘anhum kepada Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
Pertanyaan Para Sahabat:
“Ya Rasulullah, telah disebutkan bahwa Allah memberikan rahmat sepuluh kali lipat bagi orang yang bershalawat kepada-Mu satu kali. Apakah pahala sebesar itu khusus untuk orang yang hatinya hadir dan khusyu’ saja?”
Jawaban Sang Nabi:
Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam menjawab dengan jawaban yang sangat menenangkan hati dan penuh harapan, Beliau bersabda:
“Tidak. Bahkan pahala itu diberikan kepada setiap orang yang bershalawat kepadaku, meskipun dalam keadaan lalai sekalipun. Allah akan memberikan pahala kepadanya sebesar gunung-gunung, dan para malaikat pun akan mendoakannya serta memohonkan ampunan untuknya.”
Keutamaan Bagi yang Khusyu’
Namun, tentu saja ada perbedaan kadar antara yang hatinya hadir dan yang tidak. Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam kemudian menambahkan:
“Dan adapun jika hatinya hadir (khusyu’) saat bershalawat kepadaku, maka tidak ada yang mengetahui seberapa besar kadar pahalanya kecuali Allah Ta’ala semata.”
Kesimpulan yang Menyejukkan
Dari hadits yang diriwayatkan dalam kitab Tanqihul Qoul (halaman 11) ini, kita bisa mengambil hikmah yang sangat indah:
1. Pahala Tetap Mengalir: Allah Maha Pemurah. Meskipun kita masih sering lalai dan pikiran belum sepenuhnya fokus, shalawat yang kita ucapkan dengan lisan tetap bernilai ibadah dan mendapatkan balasan yang luar biasa besarnya, bahkan sebesar gunung.
2. Khusyu’ adalah Bonus Terbesar: Jika kita mampu memaksakan hati untuk hadir dan benar-benar merasakan makna shalawat tersebut, maka pahalanya menjadi sesuatu yang tak terhingga dan tak terukur, karena hanya Allah saja yang mengetahui seberapa besar nilainya.
Jadi, jangan pernah berhenti bershalawat hanya karena merasa belum sempurna khusyu’-nya. Teruslah lantunkan shalawat, karena di situlah pintu rahmat terbuka lebar untuk kita. Semoga kita semua termasuk orang yang senantiasa dicintai dan didoakan oleh para malaikat. Aamiin.

RECITING SALAWAT WITHOUT FULL CONCENTRATION
Many of us may have felt doubtful at times. When we recite Salawat (prayers and blessings upon the Prophet), our minds often wander elsewhere, or our hearts do not feel fully present and focused. This leads to a question: Is the Salawat recited in such a condition still recorded and accepted by Allah SWT? Do we still receive the rewards even if our minds are distracted?
Interestingly, this very important question was also asked directly by the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
The Companions' Question:
"O Messenger of Allah, it has been stated that Allah bestows mercy ten times over upon anyone who sends blessings upon You once. Is this immense reward specifically reserved only for those whose hearts are present and fully focused?"
The Prophet's Answer:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied with an answer that brings great comfort and hope to the heart. He said:
"No. Rather, this reward is given to everyone who sends blessings upon me, even if they are in a state of forgetfulness or distraction. Allah will grant them a reward as massive as mountains, and the angels will pray for them and seek forgiveness on their behalf."
The Superiority of Being Fully Focused
However, there is naturally a difference in the level of reward between those who are focused and those who are not. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) further added:
"And as for the one whose heart is present and fully focused while sending blessings upon me, then no one knows the true magnitude of that reward except Allah the Exalted alone."
A Reassuring Conclusion
From this narration found in the book Tanqihul Qoul (page 11), we can derive beautiful lessons:
1. Rewards Are Still Given: Allah is the Most Generous. Even though we may often be distracted and our minds are not fully focused, the Salawat uttered by our tongues still counts as worship and earns an extraordinary reward—one as vast as mountains.
2. Full Focus Brings Infinite Rewards: If we are able to bring our hearts to presence and truly feel the meaning of what we are reciting, the reward becomes something infinite and immeasurable, for only Allah knows how great its value truly is.
Therefore, never stop reciting Salawat just because you feel your focus is not yet perfect. Keep chanting these blessings, for it is through this act that the doors of mercy are opened wide for us. May we all be among those who are constantly loved and prayed for by the angels. Ameen.

DALIL
قال بعض الصحابة لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، صلى الله عشرا لمن صلى عليك مرة واحدة هل ذلك لمن كان حاضر القلب
Sebagian sahabat berkata kepada Rasulullah Saw,
Allah memberikan rahmat sepuluh kali bagi orang yang bershalawat kepadamu satu kali, apakah itu (berlaku) untuk orang yang hatinya hadir (khusyu') ?
Some of the Companions said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): 'Allah bestows mercy ten times upon whoever sends blessings upon You once. Does this apply only to those whose hearts are present and focused?'
قال لا بل لكل مصل علي غافل ويعطيه الله أمثال الجبال والملائكة تدعو له وتستغفر له
Nabi Saw bersabda:
Tidak, bahkan itu bagi setiap orang yang bershalawat kepadaku dalam keadaan lalai, dan Allah akan memberikan pahala kepadanya sebesar gunung-gunung dan para malaikat berdo'a untuknya dan memohonkan ampunan untuknya
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
No, indeed it is for everyone who sends blessings upon me even while being distracted or heedless. Allah will grant them rewards as massive as mountains, and the angels will pray for them and seek forgiveness on their behalf
وأما إذا كان حاضر القلب وقت الصلاة علي فلا يعلم قدر ذلك إلا الله تعالى.
Dan adapun jika hatinya hadir (khusyu') saat bershalawat kepadaku, maka tidak ada yang mengetahui kadar pahalanya kecuali Allah Ta'ala
And as for the one whose heart is present and fully focused while sending blessings upon me, then no one knows the true magnitude of that reward except Allah the Exalted alone
