FAKTA-FAKTA MENARIK MENGENAI IBLIS
Siapa sangka, sebelum menjadi pemimpin segala kejahatan, Iblis memiliki sejarah panjang sebagai makhluk yang sangat taat dan memegang kedudukan tinggi di langit. Berikut adalah kisah perjalanan hidupnya yang diriwayatkan oleh seorang Tabi’in bernama Imam Ka’b al-Ahbar:
Masa Kejayaan dan Pengabdian yang Sangat Lama
Imam Ka’b al-Ahbar berkata:
"Sesungguhnya Iblis pernah menjadi penjaga Surga selama 40.000 tahun, dan hidup bersama para malaikat selama 80.000 tahun."
Selama ribuan tahun itu, ia bukanlah sosok yang jahat, melainkan:
- Menjadi penasihat bagi para malaikat selama 20.000 tahun.
- Menjadi pemimpin kaum Karubiyyun (malaikat yang diciptakan dari tetesan air mata Malaikat Mikail) selama 30.000 tahun.
- Menjadi pemimpin kaum Ruhaniyyun (malaikat yang diciptakan dari percikan cahaya Malaikat Jibril) selama 1.000 tahun.
- Bahkan ia dipercaya mengelilingi singgasana ('Arsy) Allah selama 14.000 tahun.
Banyak Nama dan Gelar Mulia
Karena kesalehannya di setiap tingkatan langit, ia memiliki nama-nama yang sangat terhormat:
- Langit Pertama: 'Abid (Sang Penyembah)
- Langit Kedua: Zahid (Sang Pertapa)
- Langit Ketiga: 'Arif (Yang Berpengetahuan Luas)
- Langit Keempat: Al Waliyyu (Yang Suci & Dekat kepada Allah)
- Langit Kelima: At Taqiyyu (yang Sangat Shaleh)
- Langit Keenam: Al Khazinu (Sang Penjaga)
- Langit Ketujuh: Azazil
- Di Lauh Mahfudz: Dikenal sebagai Iblis
Sayangnya, kesombongan dan ketidakpatuhan pada satu perintah saja telah menghapus seluruh amal baiknya selama ratusan ribu tahun

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT IBLI
Who would have thought that before becoming the leader of all evil, Iblis had a long history as a very obedient creature and held a high rank in the heavens. Here is the story of his life as narrated by a famous scholar named Imam Ka’b al-Ahbar:
The Era of Glory and Long Service
Imam Ka’b al-Ahbar said:
"Indeed, Iblis was once a guardian of Paradise for 40,000 years, and lived alongside the angels for 80,000 years."
During those thousands of years, he was not an evil figure. Instead, he held great responsibilities:
- He served as an advisor to the angels for 20,000 years.
- He was the leader of the Karubiyyun (angels created from the tears of Angel Mikail) for 30,000 years.
- He was the leader of the Ruhaniyyun (angels created from the rays of light of Angel Jibril) for 1,000 years.
- He was even trusted to circumambulate the Throne ('Arsy) of Allah for 14,000 years.
Many Noble Names and Titles
Due to his righteousness in each level of the heavens, he was known by many honorable names:
- First Heaven: 'Abid (The Worshipper)
- Second Heaven: Zahid (The Ascetic)
- Third Heaven: 'Arif (The Knowledgeable One)
- Fourth Heaven: Al Waliyyu (The Righteous & Close to Allah)
- Fifth Heaven: At Taqiyyu (The Pious One)
- Sixth Heaven: Al Khazinu (The Guardian)
- Seventh Heaven: Azazil
- In the Lauh Mahfudz (Preserved Tablet): Known as Iblis
Unfortunately, his arrogance and disobedience to a single command erased all of his good deeds accumulated over hundreds of thousands of years.
